ABout Me
Born and raised outside of Boston, Massachusetts, Ryan Accardi was always surrounded by music.
Ryan, even from a young age, had a clear passion for music. His dad (a skilled jazz trumpeter himself) made it his mission to help Ryan explore and cultivate this passion, enrolling him at the Charles River Creative Arts Camp (CRCAP) in Dover, MA, where an 8 year old Ryan met and made music with incredible, inspiring artists. Later, Ryan learned under teachers at the New England Conservatory (NEC), which shaped Ryan into a multi-faceted and community-driven creative. Ryan is deeply attached to the music he makes, and is passionate about working endlessly to make great music, art, and relationships.
During his teenage years, Ryan surrounded himself with friends who shared his interests, and experimented with recording his own music. His first band, Margarine, still has their “studio” album, “Sleepover Songs,” available on Spotify!
At Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY, Ryan was a part of many bands like Dolphin Pal, DJ Silky Smooth, Drobakid, Test, Funkin’ Donuts, and more, while also exploring opportunities as a film score composer, live experimental musician, and recording studio employee. Ryan worked as the Studio Technician at Skidmore’s own Grossman Recording Studio for three and a half of his four years there. He also had the opportunity to work in Skidmore’s radio station, WSPN, as the recording room director, facilitating the creation of a student-led recording studio open to radio participants.
Ryan graduated in the spring of 2020 with a degree in English Creative Writing, and minors in Physics and Music Composition. Ryan has since been working on freelance projects, whether producing music, scoring films, or editing podcasts.
Ryan now works as an engineer, producer, and mixing engineer at NYC’s Eusonia Studios, where he is the assistant to Grammy-winning producer and mixer Scott Jacoby.
